Well I had to choose someone, and he is very popular on fandom apparently, but I don’t hate him. It’s just, idk, I think I don’t like him all that much because in some ways he’s everything I am absolutely scared to death of becoming when I’m older: drunk, bitter and alone. But I do like the fact he tells it like it is, it’s very much something I do, even if it hurts people to hear it. The worst truth is always better than the best lie.

DAY FOUR ♣ a character you love like that everyone hates

President Snow“Oh, my dear Miss Everdeen. I thought we had agreednot to lie to each other.”

Much like with Haymitch, I don’t love him. I don’t even like him. But I admire him as a character. I mean, he is a manipulative dictator, but you got to give him this: he got a country rising from the ashes, fought his way up with tooth and claw and a lot of bloodshed (pretty much literally), but even though he was hated by most of his people, he was still feared and, in a way, respected. To mantain power over a population that hates you for over fifty years? The guy was smart, to say the least. Not that I agree with any of his crap, but still, I admire him in a way.
