DAY EIGHT ♣ the character you are most like
Katniss Everdeen“I have plenty of fire myself. What I need is the dandelion in the spring. The bright yellow that means rebirth instead of destruction. The promise that life can go on, no matter how bad our losses. That it can be good again.”
I suppose this deserves some explanation. The thing is, from the minute Katniss is first described I knew I’d see a lot of myself in her in many ways. Being closer to her dad than to her mom, having a depressive/bipolar mother, needing to take care of a younger sibling because of it, having a best friend who has been in love with you and that, even if you don’t love him in the same way, you just don’t want him with anyone else and having a boy love you a lot more than you could for him. The fear of raising children in this mad world we live in and a lot of other things have made me decide that she is, for the most part, a written part of me, which is a first because no other book I’ve ever read gave me a character I could relate to as much as I can her.
